*Your startup made ₹10 crore this year. 🚀*
Everyone around you: *“Bro, you’re rich now!” 💰*
Meanwhile, your bank account: *“We need to talk.” 💀*
Here’s the thing:
*Revenue* is the total money your business brings in.
*Profit* is what remains after paying expenses like salaries, servers, rent, marketing, taxes, etc.
And *cash flow* is the actual money moving in and out of your bank account.
So you could have:
₹10 crore revenue ₹9.8 crore expenses ₹20 lakh profit …and still have a cash-flow problem because customers haven't paid you yet.
That's why **revenue doesn't mean you're rich.**
Sometimes the business is celebrating a ₹10 crore revenue milestone while the finance team is quietly calculating how many days of runway are left. 😭
**Revenue looks good on the presentation. Cash flow keeps the company alive.**
